Worst Advice Ever?
Ok. That might be the simplest explanation I’ve ever given anyone. But really, that’s it. This is why – running in place essentially forces you to run with good form. Because your feet are landing in the same spot over and over, under your center of gravity, you can easily get a feel for how you should be feeling when you’re running forward. You shouldn’t be just blindly running in place. You need to be actively thinking about and being present with your form. Notice how it feels to forefoot strike. Is that how your foot strikes the ground normally? Maybe your foot strike isn’t as good as you thought it was. Notice how each facet of your form feels, but also how you feel as a whole. Run a systems check of your form.
